Cuddle Up - Kraftin' Kimmie and Catered Crop!

Brrr! It has been COLD here this week! Every year I forget just how cold it's going to get! So my card today definitely reflects that!

I'm joining in with the Kraftin' Kimmie girls for the last time as guest designer - I have had SO much fun with this fabulously fun team! It's Wednesday - so it's time for another Anything Goes challenge!

I'm also playing in the Button Up Catered Crop Recipe Swap

A big button with twine is one of my all time fave embellishments!

Simple little card today! I coloured the Cuddle Up and Keep Warm image with copics, and added a little shine to the bear's nose and the mugs with a glaze pen. I added a little stitching and that lovely brown twine with a wooden button to finish off. The papers are DIY Shop from Crate Paper.

Here's a peek inside my card...

Head on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie blog to see all the fabulous team creations, and to link up your card featuring KKS for a chance to win!!

Sequin Shaker Blog Hop - Hello!

Hello friends! I'm so excited to share today's card - I've been looking forward to the Pretty Pink Posh Sequin Shaker Blog Hop all week - and I was so happy to get some time to make my card today!

I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to make as soon as I saw the new WPlus9 release, and I ordered some new goodies from i {heart} papers right away - I needed a very specific die! This is one of those cards that looks just like I'd imagined - love it when that happens (and it doesn't always happen!)

I started with the Grand Madison Arched Window die - and filled it up with PPP heart confetti! I got inky with the new Spring Blooms stamp set, using Memento Luxe ink in Real Red, Rhubarb Stalk, Pistachio, Espresso Truffle and Northern Pine. I used the matching Spring Bloom dies to make quick work of my floral arrangement.

I used an ombre paper from the As You Wish collection by Fancy Pants behind my window. The Hand Lettered Hello die was cut from silver glitter paper - oh I LOVE this die! The woodgrain background is also from the As You Wish 6x6 pad.

Here's a peek inside my card...

Word dies with matching stamp sets make this girl happy! I've used the Spring Blooms set again, with the Hand Lettered Hello stamp set

I was also inspired by the stamps collage from the Iron Craft challenge - build-a-florals and hand lettering are so hot right now!

Thank you SO much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy all the fabulous shaker cards on the hop!

All my Smiles....

Hello! I'm popping in tonight with a card for the new Viva la Verve sketch - this one is from Stacey, and it's so fun!

I used the Better Together set on my card!

I used the polka dot background from Better Together on the border panel, and on the Jotted Heart Die. The flower was created with the Floral Circles Die Set. I used a ball stylus and foam mat the shape the flowers. The leaves were cut with the Dreamy Leaves Die Set. I loved the gray striped leaves on the patterned paper, so tried to get the same look with some warm gray copics.

You Make The Grade

Hello! I had some "just for fun" stamping time this morning while my guy napped...and I got inky with my Reverse Confetti! If you follow me on Instagram, you saw a sneak peek of this card already :-)

I thought these papers from the DIY Shop collection by Crate Paper would be awesome on a school card. I paired them with Class Act and the matching Class Act Confetti Cuts. The vellum tag is cut with the Tag Me Confetti Cuts and the large layer is the Sweet Treat Tent. The small heart is from the Love Note set.

I embellished with a little stitching, twine, a hinge clip and some spritzing with a vintage photo distress marker.

Here's a peek inside...

Thanks so much for stopping by! The weather is pretty terrible here today, I think I'm going to spend the afternoon reading books with my little man!

Wonderful Wednesday - Ahoy Matey!

This is my second card today - for my SugarPea Designs chalkboard card, please click HERE

I'm joining in with the Krafty Girls today for the Wonderful Wednesday challenge - which is always Anything Goes!

Your submission must use at least one Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp but can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item....you name it!! It must be a NEW creation and you can enter until Tuesday, April 29th!!

**Please note that you are more than welcome to combine this Wonderful Wednesday Share to Win challenge with other challenges, BUT not our regular weekly challenges. This must be a new and different creation than anything you create for our Saturday challenges.

As Mama to one very active (and adorable) little guy, I'm always a sucker for a cute boy stamp! So this set, Great Adventures, had to come live in my stamp room! I colored with copics and pieced the bandana. I added a couple of little eyelets on either side of my focal panel to string some twine and a wooden anchor through. The clouds were sponged and I used some vellum with a little machine stitching to add interest to the background.

Here's a peek inside my card...

Thanks so much for stopping by, be sure to visit the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog to see all the gorgeous creations and link up your own card!

SugarPea Challenge: Clean and Simple!

Hello friends! It's time for a new SugarPea Designs challenge, and this one is easy - clean and simple cards! CAS means lots of white space (or open space of another color) and one main focal point.

I went for a technique on my card, the chalkboard technique!

I started with some green cardstock, and sponged on green distress ink until it looked kinda mottled. Jenny, one of my fellow SugarPeas made a card with a green chalkboard awhile ago, and I thought it looked so awesome! I heat embossed the image and sentiment from the new Hats Off To You set then sponged on some white pigment ink to make the board look "chalky".

The base of the board is cut from woodgrain paper. I cut a little piece of chalk and the eraser by hand, using a dark grey felt for the eraser. The wall background is simply paper, and a strip of white cardstock. I really love how this one turned out!

  •  Play along with any stamp you like - but if you use SugarPea Designs, we'll top your voucher up to $15!
  • Combine our challenge with any other challenge(s)!
  • Upload to your blog or other online gallery using keyword: SPD04 so that we may check out your beautiful work
  • Add your link to the linkup on the SugarPea Blog. You'll find our current challenges on the sidebar.

Retro Sketches #111 Here For You

Hello! I hope you had a fabulous Easter! I got way less done than I had planned to, I just couldn't tear myself away from my little family - and I'm SO ok with that! It was a lovely long weekend!

I really wanted to play with the new Retro Sketch today, and I put some goodies from i {heart} papers to use!

The patterns on the Pretty Patches Umbrella (and matching die) stamp set really reminded me of this new As You Wish paper from Fancy Pants (I think of The Princess Bride every time I use this paper) I've used Memento Luxe ink in Peanut Brittle, Early Espresso and Rhubarb Stalk and Avery Elle ink in Aquamarine.
The twine is from the Spring Bloom 2 set.

The card is 4" square.

Inside I simply stamped the other sentiment from the set. I still love the elegant simplicity of a beautiful sentiment!
