December Sketch For You to Try!

Hey stamp fans! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did and are enjoying some extra time with Shanan - he works hard so it's nice to have him home for the week.

I'm popping in with my take on the December Sketch For You To Try. Don't forget that every month you can play along for a chance to win some Reverse Confetti moohlah!

I thought all the little elements from Inner Rock Star would look great with this sketch!

I fussy cut everything and added some copic shading to the skull. The sentiment is stamped on a die cut from the Tag Me Confetti Cuts. I used woodgrain cardstock and embellished with some sequins.

Here are all the sketch deets...

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.
The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 29th. The SFYTT button is  posted on the sidebar.  Click on it to be taken to the current SFYTT post and link list.
Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!
You may enter as many times as you wish.
There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 30th of each month.

Stag Pillow Box

I love pillow boxes for a quick and pretty gift wrapping solution - I wanted to make one in neutral tones with just a pop of red and love how this one turned out!

I shopped at i {heart} papers for these fun supplies! The sentiment is from Winter Woodland by Wplus9, the die is the AWESOME Stag Trio Die. Inks are Jungle by Avery Elle and Love Letter by Memento Luxe. The paper is Evergreen by Basic Grey and I embellished with Hemp twine and enamel dots.

Hope your gift wrapping and Christmas preparations are going well!

Avery Elle Birthday Card

I'm popping in today with a cute birthday card I made for my stash - I figure this one would be good for just about anyone. Not too girly!

This card uses all Avery Elle from i {heart} papers. If I haven't mentioned it lately, I LOVE that IHP is a one stop shop for all my paper, ink, adhesive, stamps and dies!

You can check out the large range of Avery Elle stamps, dies, papers and ink HERE

Of course that grinning feline is non other than the Chesire Cat! I've given him a more somber hue today. You'll find him in the Alice and Friends stamp set - I've cut him and the banner with the matching Alice and Friends dies

The paper is the Everyday Collection. I've also used the Dotted Dies and the W R Family die set (I love all these basic shape dies Avery Elle have now - they make layering easy)

I finished with a couple of Enamel Shapes from this Now & Then collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Reverse Confetti Creative Hop!

Hello! It's the 8th of the month, and that means it's time for a Reverse Confetti hop!

This month the team are showing you all kinds of Christmas packaging - fun right? Hop along, there are prizes to be won! Leave a comment here and on all the blogs by Wednesday night for a chance to win, we'll announce the winner on the Reverse Confetti blog on Friday.

You should have arrived here from the lovely Laurie Schmidlin, you can find the full hop list on the Reverse Confetti blog.

Remember this tag?

I made this for a Wednesday in the Works post on the Reverse Confetti blog last month (you can see a video HERE) and liked the burlap base so much that I wanted to try a gift box in the same style. I had so much fun playing that I even made a matching card!

Creating the box couldn't be more simple.

Adhere burlap to some cardstock using lots of liquid adhesive - I like Tombow Mono Multi. Die cut two of the Treat Tote Confetti Cuts - I find if I run the die through my big shot forwards and again backwards I get a clean cut. Adhere together with a strong adhesive like red line tape. Cut the base of the box from cardstock and use to cover the seams on the base of the box.

I love using the same elements on different pieces for a cohesive look. For this set I've used the Seasonal Sentiments and Roundabout stamp sets with the Tag Me, Tag Me Too, Let it Snow, Circle Garland and Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts. I stamped some hot pink tissue paper with the same sentiment as the tag for even more matchy-matchy goodness!

Thank you so much for stopping by today - don't forget to leave a comment then head over to visit with the wonderful Susan Liles

December Diva Inspirations Hop!

Welcome to Verve's December Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our December inspiration challenge for another chance to win!

This month's challenge is entitled O Christmas Tree:

Ribbons and sparkle and merry galore! Create a card inspired by the decorations of the season!

I loved all the ribbon in the inspiration photo and knew I wanted an oversized bow for my card today. Rather than using a Christmas tree stamp, I used the little pine boughs from Ornamental Christmas. The label and sentiment are from the wonderful Unto Us stamp set and the label was cut with the Classy Label Die. I created a shaker background filled with gorgeous Shine Bright sequins.

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!

Awesome Dad

Hello! I'm popping in today to share a card I made for my husband Shanan. He is a FABULOUS Dad - spending every morning and evening with our little guy. Breakfast and bathtime is boytime (and I get a much needed break!)

When I saw the awesome Leave it to Dad set from Winnie and Walter it jumped right into my i {heart} papers cart!

I stamped the fun cameo image in Jungle ink from Avery Elle and framed it with the fun W R Family dies also from Avery Elle. The large layer and small flag were cut with the Dotted Die and the paper is Me.ology. I finished simply with some enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Clearly Christmas!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

We have a new sponsor, Winnie&Walter, for the Curtain Call Inspiration: Clearly Christmas!  A randomly selected participant in the Clearly Christmas challenge will receive a $30 Winnie&Walter shopping code, while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I was excited to work with the lovely Winter Woodland stamp set - I love all the images in this set, but I especially appreciate the size of the lovely sentiments, just perfect! I was so inspired by the fab colors in the inspiration, as well as the big bow and the ornaments. I heat embossed the fun pine boughs, and went for a CAS look reminiscent of an ornament on the tree.

The card base is a really shimmery cardstock for even more shine - but it just refuses to show up in photos!

Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs for more inspiration!

November SFYTT!

Hello! I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! No thanksgiving here in NZ, but we are celebrating today by putting up the tree and enjoying a nice family meal.

I'm popping in with a card for the November Sketch For You To Try. There is still a teeny bit of time to get your card in to be in to win!

I had a lot of fun making this card with lots of new Reverse Confetti goodies - the stamps are from North Pole Wishes and I've also used the matching Confetti Cuts. I've cut the Let it Snow Confetti Cuts from Vellum and the background was created with some stitched together Triple Chevies

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely weekend!
